Return Policy

Our goal is simple: at The American Cuckoo Clock Company we are in the business of spreading smiles. From building charming cuckoo clocks to the highest quality standard, to carefully packing your clock and shipping it as quickly as we can, delighting you makes us smile.

Each clock is hung and tested to ensure that it keeps correct time and that all other functions, such as the cuckoo calling and any animations, are operating properly. Please be mindful though that this is 200 year old technology. That is the charm of the clocks. But also means that the low-tech innards of the clock can get a little jostled during shipment, requiring some fine tuning. In an extremely small percentage of cases a wire wiggles loose or gets a bit out of position. Therefore, please contact us if your clock isn’t performing correctly. We’ll be happy to help you solve the issues and get your clock working properly and you smiling.

If you are not completely satisfied with your clock, simply return your clock in its original, unused condition within 30 days for a full refund or exchange, according to the instructions in “To Return Your Clock” below.

Shipping Damage

Please report shipping damage immediately as we have only two days to file claims. Save the original shipping boxes and all materials along with the clock and all parts so we can make our claim to the shipper. Damaged clocks will be exchanged for a new one.

To Return Your Clock

The clock must be in its original working condition, all parts and manuals must be included, and the clock must be shipped back at your expense in its original shipping box with chains, weights, etc. secured as received. You must insure the return because we will not be responsible for shipping damages incurred during shipment back to us. No returns will be accepted for a damaged clock or clocks missing parts.

You must contact us before shipping the clock back for a return.

To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The clock was purchased in the last 30 days*
  • The product is in its original packaging
  • The product isn’t used or damaged
  • You obtained a Return Merchandise Number (RMN) from us

To obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMN) along with a return address, contact us:

We will verify receipt of your return, acknowledge that the condition is acceptable, and send you a check (or refund via PayPal) within 14 days of receiving your return.

*Not to worry if you’re buying early for Christmas. Just let us know within 15 days after Christmas if you wish to return the clock.

Return Shipping Charges

In the event that your return is an error on our part, we will pay for the return shipping. Otherwise, you are responsible for covering the cost of the return shipping and insuring it to arrive back here safely
